Christmas Day murder suspect sentenced to life

On Christmas Day 2016, defendant Pablo Falcon threatened a father and teen son with a rifle. He then chased them with his car and shot at their truck. The bullet struck the teen in the head but did not kill him.

When the victims’ truck stopped, defendant Falcon again threatened them with the rifle and only fled when they called police.

Falcon was convicted by a Madera County jury of first degree attempted murder for both the father and the teen son, causing great bodily injury to the son, and of using a rifle. The jury also convicted him of other gun related charges.

Falcon will be sentenced to life in prison in Madera Superior Court on December 21.
