Chavira holds onto lead for win

Chavira & Sons show off the rings they received after they won the Madera National Little League Softball title game Saturday.
Chavira & Son’s scored four runs in the top of the first inning and made it hold up to capture the Madera National Little League Majors Championship over Shoe Shak.
Chavira withstood a late rally for 7-6 victory Saturday night. They added two runs in the fourth and one in the sixth for the championship.
Shoe Shak outhit Chavira, 9-7, but the walks made the difference in the game. Shoe Shak pitcher Joradn Anaya issured nine walks and four of those walks scored. However, Charira pitcher Isis Santoyo didn’t walk a batter.
