Arrest made on possible assault

The Madera Police Department places a high value on human life. This includes the lives of suspects, people suffering from mental illness and, of course, victims and witnesses within the community. 

While some incidents, unfortunately, end in the use of lethal force, the PD endeavors to resolve issues while preserving human life. 

“Last night we were fortunate that our officers training, experience and equipment were used to safely end a situation that could have been much worse,” said the Madera PD in a statement.
