Arrest in Christmas shooting

The Madera Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred on Christmas Day, and has apprehended a suspect. 

At about 4:30 p.m., MPD responded to a shooting in the parking lot of the Vallarta Supermarket. When they arrived on scene, they found a male victim that sustained a gunshot to his right arm. 

Detectives began their investigation and identified persons of interest. On Tuesday, detectives served a search warrant at a Madera residence that resulted in locating evidence related to the shooting, including two handguns, one of which was used in the shooting.
