The Madera branch of the American Association of University Women hosted its annual scholarship dinner on May 8 and awarded six high school seniors and 10 middle school students with scholarship awards.

Receiving $1,000 scholarships were Arantxa Sanchez from Madera High School, Naysa Villa from Madera South High School, Alyssa Dhillon from Matilda Torres High School, and Madelyn McClure from Liberty High School.

In addition, Socorro Galvez from Mountain Vista High School and Briana Manzano-Garcia from Furman High School received $500 scholarship.
