The crowd of attendees enjoy a little humor during the annual National Day of Prayer Senior Celebration Luncheon.

National Day of Prayer is observed each year on the first Thursday of May. The Madera Ministerial Association, in conjunction with Madera Chamber of Commerce, held its annual Prayer Breakfast in Hatfield Hall at the Madera Fairgrounds. There were about 300 people in attendance.

Lois Leonard, Chair of the Madera Prayer Breakfast Committee, welcomed all in attendance and introduced various pastors who would lead in prayer as well as sponsors and the Keynote Speaker, Wayne Francis.

In attendance were government officials, business leaders, Madera judges, educators, law enforcement, first responders, and pastors, residents and friends of the community of Madera.
