Madera South’s A.J. Rocha singled twice in Friday’s loss to Bullard. Rocha is batting .350 this season to lead the Stallions.

Because of a busted water pipe, the Bullard-Fresno Knights baseball team made a return trip to Madera South’s Eddie Chapa Field and came away with a convincing 16-2 victory.

The Knights made themselves at home during the two games in Madera. After a 10-3 victory Tuesday, the Knights, who were the designated home team, recorded a 16-2 victory Friday.

Bullard broke open the game with a six-run second inning. After scoreless third and fourth innings, the Knights scored five runs in the fifth and sixth innings for the victory.

Bullard banged out 16 hits, but also scored five unearned runs on four Madera South errors.

Twelve different players recorded hits for the Knights. However, the Stallions recorded six hits with A.J. Ramos and Murf Gray getting two each.

The Knights opened the second inning with back-to-back doubles, a single, a sacrifice fly, another single and another double to score four runs. A walk, two singles and an error added two more runs for a 6-0 Bullard lead.

Bullard added five runs with two doubles and four singles for an 11-0 lead.

The Stallions scratched over their two runs in the top of the sixth inning.

Jonathan Uribe led off the inning with a single up the middle. He went to second on a Rocha groundout.

Uribe advanced to third on a wild pitch and Jalen Gray drew a walk. Murf Gray singled home Uribe.

Chris Jones followed with another single to load the bases. Seth Goodrich flew out to center, but it was deep enough to drive in Jalen Gray for the second run of the game for Madera South.

Bullard scored five more runs in the sixth on three hits, an error, a sacrifice fly and two walks.

With two outs in the seventh, the Stallions put together a rally. Uribe started it with a walk and Rocha singled for the second time in the game.

Bullard ended the game with a strikeout for the 16-2 victory.
