Lions come together for resident’s sake

On Thursday, January 18, the Madera Breakfast Lions responded to a request for funds by Lion Mark Paskvan, Program Coordinator of the Lions Eye Foundation, headquartered in San Francisco.

Based on the recommendation of President Ron Snipes, the Madera Breakfast Lions made a donation of $500 to defray travel and lodging expenses for a local, destitute resident, who needs a series of operations to maintain the use of his remaining good eye.

The Madera Evening Lions responded to the same request, donating an equivalent amount.

The Lions motto is “Sight First.”
