Madera County crime log for May 15-20

The Madera County Sheriff’s Department responded to the following incidents from May 15 to 20. May 15 10:46 a.m. — Deputy was dispatched to the 30000 block of Stetson Drive in Coarsegold regarding suspects chasing two others with a crossbow and firearm. After further investigation the two suspects were found to be under the influence of drugs. Report was taken with one arrest made, evidence obtained, suspect cited and released, and case closed by arrest.

11:30 p.m. — Deputy was dispatched to the 16000 block of Hill Drive in Madera in response to a report of a man with a gun. The man was later arrested and booked into Madera County Department of Corrections for threats and child endangerment. Case forwarded to Madera County District Attorney’s Office to pursue charges and Child Protective Services for followup. May 16 1:45 p.m. — School resource deputy advised by assistant principal that a student was found to possess drug paraphernalia in his backpack on school campus.
