Stallions make history with win
After the Madera South Stallions softball team recorded the final out in the Div. IV Central Section playoffs over the Washington Union-Easton Panthers, the Stallions had reason to celebrate.
Not only did they record a mercy-rule, 10-0 victory over the Panthers, but they did something no other team did in the 10-year history of the Madera South softball program — win a playoff game.
“It’s a great confidence booster for us,” head coach Peter Gallegos said. “This a first. From where we started to where we end, to our record and how we placed in the CMAC to winning in the playoffs for the first time, we are breaking down walls.”
