Shooting at Rancho San Miguel
Madera PD officers responded to the Rancho San Miguel Supermarket parking lot regarding a report of a shooting Saturday evening. Upon arrival, officers located an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Preliminary investigation indicates that this was an isolated incident, and there is no ongoing threat to the public or to the store.

Stabbing at Sunrise Rotary complex
Madera PD officers responded to Sunrise Rotary Sports Complex for a physical fight involving multiple individuals attending a soccer tournament Saturday afternoon. During the altercation, an adult victim sustained a non-life threatening stab wound. The suspect was located at the scene, and arrested for assault with a deadly weapon and child endangerment charges. The weapon used was also recovered. This was an isolated incident and there is no threat to the public.

Injuries at U-Save Liquor
Madera PD officers responded to U-Save Liquor regarding an altercation involving multiple parties Friday night. During the investigation, it was determined that one of the involved individuals sustained visible injuries. However, contrary to online reports, the person was not stabbed. At this stage of the investigation, it appears this was an isolated incident, and there is no threat to the public. The investigation remains ongoing.

Chowchilla PD makes shooting arrests
Chowchilla Police Department officers executed search warrants in the 500 block of Trinity Avenue and the 300 block of Rose Avenue on November 5. As a result of these warrants, two individuals were arrested in connection with the shooting that occurred on November 4. During the searches, officers recovered a stolen firearm and gang related drawings and attire.
