Leslie Swan should be Madera Unified’s teacher of the year for calling out publicly, Ruben Castrejon, the alleged predator, for illicit sexual activity with at least one student. Who knows how many students’ lives have been saved by Ms. Swan caring enough to protect the students that she teaches each day?
Like any field of work, there are some evil people. Unfortunately, children are involved in this situation. I am sick of teachers using their profession to prey on innocent students. It seems to be a common occurrence in recent years. If guilty, they should get a lifetime prison sentence with no possibility of parole.
Thank you, Leslie Swan, for being a great teacher.
