Madera County Sheriff's Log: June 11-17

The Madera County Sheriff’s Department reported the following incidents: June 11

5:59 a.m. — Deputy was dispatched to the area of CA-41 and Mountain Trail in Oakhurst for a report of a coroner’s case. A report was written and forwarded for follow up with the Madera County Sheriff’s Office Coroner’s Division.

1:46 p.m. — Deputy responded to the intersection of Avenue 12 and Maywood Drive in Madera in regards to a utility trailer that had been abandoned. The Trailer had no license plate or VIN and it was towed. The case was closed.

3:58 p.m. — Deputy responded to the 37000 block of Kensington Drive in Madera regarding the theft of pallets. No suspect information at this time; case was closed. June 12

2:07 p.m. — Deputy was dispatched to the 33000 block of Road 222 in North Fork regarding a found wallet that had cocaine in it. The items were booked in the Madera County Sheriffs Office Sub Station as found property.

4:19 p.m. — While conducting a routine uniformed boat patrol on Bass Lake, deputy was informed of a vessel sinking in Indian Cove. The boat was located and the owner was assisted in getting the boat off the lake before it sank. The owner was cited for several infractions. June 13

3:01 p.m. — Deputy was dispatched to the 13000 block of Road 29 1/4 in Madera regarding unknown suspects having broken into reporting party’s travel trailer and stolen two televisions and a surround sound system. Unknown suspects broke into reporting party’s mother in-law’s travel trailer and stole pot, pans and dishes. There is a long ongoing civil issue between tenants and the landlord. Reporting party suspects the landlord of the theft. Forwarded report to Madera County Code Enforcement for follow up. June 14

1:52 a.m. — Deputies were dispatched to the 35000 block of John Albert Drive in Madera regarding a possible domestic disturbance. Upon arrival it was determined the male half had beaten up his girlfriend. The subject was taken into custody and transported to Madera County Jail on charges of felony domestic violence. The case to be forwarded to the Madera County District Attorney’s Office for charges to be filed.

8:11 a.m. — Deputy was dispatched to the 48000 block of Victoria Lane in Oakhurst regarding the theft of two bicycles. During the investigation a wireless speaker was also stolen from the property. There are no suspects or witnesses or investigative leads in this case. Referred report closed. June 15

6:37 p.m. — Deputy was dispatched to the 100 block of Trinity Avenue in the city of Chowchilla regarding a report of a missing person. Attempts were made to locate the missing person with no results. The report is to be forwarded to detectives. June 16

2:02 p.m. — Deputy was dispatched to the 4000 block of State Route 49 in Oakhurst regarding a female suspect who attempted to cash a bad check. An investigation was conducted and a suspect has been identified. The case will be forwarded to detectives.

11:02 p.m. — Deputies responded to the 46000 block of Lucky Lane in Coarsegold regarding a report of a subject shooting a BB gun at guests. The victim was contacted and a report was written. The suspect was unable to be located. The case was closed due to lack of investigative leads. June 17

7:39 p.m. — Deputy was dispatched to the 10000 block of Lanesbridge in Madera regarding a runaway from the group home. Juvenile was picked up by a car and left the scene.
