Madera County Sheriff's Log for the Week of April 26

The Madera County Sheriffs’ Office responded to the following incidents from April 26 to 30. April 26

5:58 p.m. — Male arrested during a family disturbance in Madera where he had made threats against another family member. He then barricaded himself into the garage and then in the attic. Subject then surrendered and was allowed to leave the home voluntarily. He then dead-bolted the front door and started yelling and threatening family member again. Subject was arrested for resisting /obstructing and taken to jail. A probation violation was also placed on the subject. Case forwarded to the District Attorney’s Office and to Madera County Probation. April 27

6:25 a.m. — Deputy sent to the block of 28000 Yosemite Springs Parkway in Coarsegold regarding theft of newspapers from a Fresno Bee dispenser. A report was taken for documentation; report suspended until further leads develop.

6:42 a.m. — Deputy sent to the 43000 block of State Route 49 in Ahwahnee regarding a noose located on a balcony. A report written.

11:15 a.m. — Deputy sent to the 46000 block of Road 200 in O’Neals regarding a 12-year-old who sent a lewd picture to another 12-year-old. A report taken. April 30

12:07 a.m. — Deputies responded to the 13000 block of Wood Street in Madera regarding a violation of a restraining order. The suspect was gone prior to deputies’ arrival. However, he was positively identified by the victim and charges were forwarded to the District Attorney’s Office for prosecution.
