Pot grow busted near Chowchilla

A Madera County man faces gun and drug charges after being arrested for his reported work in a marijuana operation.

Deputies, along with Madera County District Attorney Investigators, were sent to the 19000 Block of Avenue 23 in Chowchilla, to serve a search warrant Thursday, according to Cmdr. Bill Ward of the Madera County Sheriff’s Office. Their search reportedly turned up a sizable marijuana farm.

“Over 3,700 marijuana plants were seized from the outdoor cultivation,” Ward said.
