Torres, Liberty earn No. 2 in volleyball

The fall sports second season began this week for girls tennis and girls volleyball teams.
The Liberty Hawks and Matilda Torres Toros girls volleyball team each earned No. 2 seeds in their respective division, and hosted home games Tuesday.
Liberty is the No. 2 seed in Division V, and hosted, ironically, Golden Valley-Bakersfield on Tuesday (Liberty is in the Golden Valley Unified School District). The winner of Tuesday’s match plays Thursday against the winner of No. 7 North and No. 10 Kern Valley.
