Toros rout shorthanded Stallions

Tyler Takeda/The Madera Tribune

Matilda Torres’ Lawrence Watson goes up for a shot after picking up an offensive rebound during Saturday’s win. Watson scored 10 points to go with eight rebounds.

Although the Madera South Stallions boys basketball team only dressed six players, they gave the Matilda Torres Toros all they could handle in a 61-45 loss Saturday.

The Toros had four players in double-figures and had nine players score in the game.

Torres used a 17-0 run run to outscore the Stallions 21-10 in the second quarter to take control of the game.
