Toros get offensive in win over Aztecs

The Matilda Torres Toros flag football team is all smiles after winning the Livingston Tournament last week. The team went 4-0 and only gave up 18 points in the tournament. They defeated Golden Valley, 28-0 in the first game. They defeated Houghson, 12-6, host Livingston, 22-0 and Mariposa, 19-12, in the championship game.

The Matilda Torres Toros flag football team amassed 345 yards of total offense in a 32-0 victory over the Mendota Aztecs at Toro Stadium.


The Toros rushed for 132 yards and quarterback Amerie Lujan threw for 213 yards and three touchdowns in the victory.


Lujan also rushed for 80 yards and a touchdown. Emma Gomez rushed for 35 yards and a touchdown, and caught three passes for 87 yards and three touchdowns.
