Bright future ahead after gloomy start
Andrew Thompson’s life has been almost like a Cinderella story, with a rough beginning, and now, a future that looks as bright as the ray of sunshine he has showered on others.
Thompson graduated from Madera South High School last week, and his parents couldn’t be prouder of this young man who enlisted into the U.S. Army to serve his county. He was a part of a signing ceremony at the high school last month.
Andrew was born Angel Zarate. He entered foster care in March of 2009, after being abandoned by his biological mother when he was only three years old.
