Madera County Sheriff Tyson Pogue speaks at a press conference to announce the murder of Robert Boyajian, and the apprehension of suspect Audrick Matevosian (in photo over shoulder) Thursday afternoon.
A couple of days ago, Madera County Sheriff’s Office posted a missing person’s notice for Robert “Bob” Boyajian on its social media platform.
After further investigations, the MCSO announced that Boyajian was found dead in a cave in the Mojave Desert and has a suspect, Audrick Matevosian, 21, in custody during a press conference Thursday.
“Boyajian was a well-respected, well-known member of the Bass Lake Community,” MCSO Sheriff Tyson Pogue said at the press conference. “This is a deeply disturbing case. It’s a case of betrayal and pre-meditated violence. We want to thank all the assisted agencies and the investigative team for their tireless work to bring clarity to this tragic situation.”
