Recent storms have knocked down blossoms of almond trees throughout Madera County.

The recent storm created multiple puddles around the City of Madera, and caused some concern among farmers, especially almond farmers.

As many can see driving around the county, almonds are blooming, and the rain is causing some damage to the blooms.

“A little bit of damage won’t hurt the almonds, at all,” said Creekside Farming President Jay Mahil. “Farmers aren’t going to complain if they have a decent crop. We need more rain.”
