Opinion: Summer marches on

I hope everyone enjoyed the Independence Day holiday without losing anything important like fingers and toes. I could hear the explosions from inside the house. The last one went off at 2 a.m.

Pets tend to be frightened and get lost because of the noise. Check the animal shelter or place an ad in the Tribune’s lost and found column if your furbaby has gone missing.

The next holiday on the calendar is Labor Day. I have always found it ironic that the holiday dedicated to the country’s celebration of its labor force gives most of the population a day off from work.
