October birthdays

We are in the season of autumn now. It’s my favorite season of the year. The leaves begin to turn colors of beautiful browns, golds, rusts, and burgundy. The weather turns a bit cooler and sometimes breezy, and we begin to gear up for the holidays. 

I have never understood why this season has two names. It is both autumn and fall. It’s a bit discriminatory, I think. All the other seasons have only one name.

October is the first full month in the fall season, and is a great time to have a birthday. My sister was born in October, and so was my grandmother, and I have lots of other people in my life who have October birthdays.
