Madera Unified  School District announced Thursday that Madera FFA instructor Kristin Sheehan has been recognized as the Region 1 Winner of the Outstanding Agricultural Education Teacher Award by the National Association of Ag Educators (NAAE).

The NAAE national awards are designed to recognize some of the nation’s most influential agriculture educators. One winner is chosen from six NAAE organizational regions with more than 9,000 members nationwide.  

Sheehan’s dedication to agricultural education and innovative teaching methods have significantly impacted her students and the community.
