Spirits were high and the air crackled with excitement as the Madera South High School Fashion Club presented its fifth annual Fashion Show.

After a year’s hiatus, the students were eager to get this year’s fashion show started on March 4. From the glitz and glamor of colorful quinceañera gowns to the vibrant displays of the latest spring fashions, MSHS Fashion Club models expertly displayed local merchant’s wares.

Many businesses, including Ortiz Western Wear, AriRey Activewear, Leshawl Vintage, Bellissima Bridal, House of Morri, Crazy Shoes, David’s Bridal, Men’s Wearhouse, Mi Amor and Chopped up Cherries, generously sponsored this year’s event.

Advisor’s Gloria Vander Laan and Araceli Ramirez would like to thank: the students and the alumni who worked so hard to make the show happen; the models who practiced diligently every day; Araceli Ramirez, backstage manager; Paul Mitchell: The School for bringing a team of future hair stylists; Nayeli Monzon and family for managing the music and helping with anything needed; Pleve TV for donating their soundboard and equipment; and Benjamin Madrigal, the Master of Ceremonies.

The MSHS Fashion Show is a community event that is put together with the help of people from all walks of life in Madera.
