Madera Wrestling Club wins title

Members of the Madera Wrestling Club celebrates with the team National Title Trophy after claiming the title, by one point, at the Rocky Mountain Nationals in Las Vegas on June 11.
The Madera Wrestling Club’s youth wrestling program had a memorable spring season.
This spring, in the freestyle/greco wrestling season, the club competed at various local competitions throughout the state and completed the season at a national event.
The Madera Wrestling Club’s youth wrestling program won two age group state team titles in Greco-Roman at the California Kids Greco State Championships held in April. The age group State Team Champions were in the the 8-under Boys Bantams (Owen Coronado, Jay Hernandez, Jace Jauregui, Roman Ayala, Damian Hernandez, Alejandro Ramirez) and 10-under Intermediate Girls (Joie Reyes, Avery Ayala, Evannie Hernandez).
