Members of Madera Sunrise Rotary and Dan Riley’s team gather around benches they installed at Madera Community College.
What started off as a Rotary Club service project in 2019 has finally come to life on the Madera Community College campus.
Thanks to the persistence and generosity of local business owner, Dan Riley, 22 benches were installed across campus over Spring Break, offering students and visitors much-needed places to sit.
Riley, owner of Steel Structures Inc., and former president of Madera Sunrise Rotary, launched the project during his first term as president. As a member of Madera Community College’s Manufacturing Advisory Board for Welding and a board member for various local schools, Riley saw an opportunity to combine his passions and give back to the community.
