Little League registration now open

Both the Madera American and Madera National Little Leagues have registration open for the 2022 season.


The last day to register for the Madera American Little League at Mountain Mike’s Pizza next to Rancho San Miguel will be Friday evening from 5:30-8 p.m.


The cost is $100 and $10 off per sibling. The price comes with $20 in raffle tickets.


Sign-ups will also be taken during evaluations in February.


The first evaluation will be Feb. 3, and also Feb. 8, from 5-8 p.m. with 7-8 year olds from 5-6 p.m.; 9-10 year olds from 6-7 p.m. and 11-12 year olds from 7-8 p.m. Registration will be accepted from 4-8 p.m. on all evaluation days.


M.A.L.L. will also hold evaluations and sign-ups on Saturdays, Feb. 5 and 12, from 9-1 p.m. Evaluations for 7-8 year olds will be from 10-11 a.m.; 9-10 year olds from 11 a.m.-noon; and 11-12 year olds from noon-1 p.m.

Meanwhile, the Madera National Little League is holding registrations online at maderanational.com until March 12 for players that aren’t eligible to be drafted. However, the last day to register to get drafted is Feb. 12. The cost for baseball, ages 6-12 is $140 and for softball, it’s $120 for ages 5-12. There is a $10 discount for each additional brother or sister.


The league will hold one more in-person registration on Saturday at Town and Country Park, Field 4, from 2-5 p.m.


MNLL will host assessment and registrations during February on Field 1. On Feb 3 and Feb. 8, assessments will be held from 5:30-6:30 p.m. for ages 7-8; 6:30-7:30 p.m. for ages 9-10 and 7:30-8:30 p.m. for ages 11-12.


The league will also host Saturday registration and assessments on Feb. 5 and Feb. 12, beginning at 10 a.m. with 7-8 year olds. Ages 9-10 will be assessed from 11 a.m.-noon and 11-12 year olds will go on the field from 12-1 p.m. Registration begins at 9:30 a.m.
