Letters: SCOTUS, secret weapon of Democrats

The conservative Supreme Court of the United States (SCOTUS) may have delivered the 2024 federal elections to Biden-Harris and other Democrats.

They call themselves “originalists.” The court’s “originalism,” a Ouija mechanism for uniquely interpreting laws as written when George Washington was sanding his wooden teeth, was a secret well-kept from constitutional scholars for 200 years until conservative judicial activists magically revealed it in the 1980s. Strikingly, OUR Constitution did not “originally” give SCOTUS the authority to overturn decisions made by the other two co-equal branches of government. The court gave itself that authority in the 1800s. And now our disingenuous SCOTUS is abusing democracy by turning itself into a super legislature that manufactures laws that a divided Congress can’t pass.

But, SCOTUS, in its hurry to throw American society under the horse and buggy, has run into the law of unintended consequences. Some of their rulings have created political forces that may very well re-elect Biden-Harris with a Democratic Congress. (Unless Democrats do what they quite often do: pick the wrong messages and snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.)
