We got snookered on Measure (A) in the 90’s. Instead of roads for Madera County, we got a Highway 41 Bridge over the San Joaquin. Did it help us? Not as much as it helped Gail McIntyre’s family and friends who owned property on the Madera side.
First, Measure (T) was, again, pitched as “For our Roads” by guess who? Gail McIntyre.
This one built another overpass at Avenue 16, to de-congest Cleveland, they said. It actually paved the way for the new high school. That again benefitted the McIntyres.
