Holiday was granted for Cesar Chavez. He has been discovered for what he was. Now, to whitewash the “holiday,” they are going to re-name it.
Why not eliminate the holiday?
This is why we need just three holidays: Memorial Day, 4th of July and Veterans Day. Then, personal days off. Fifteen days off. You can take them in a string (vacation) or split them up for who ever you want to honor.
