Madera South’s Liyah Chavira sets up the Stallions’ offense during Thursday’s four-set loss to Sunnyside.
The Madera South Stallions girls volleyball seemed to be making strides after picking up a set against the Sunnyside Wildcats. However, the Stallions couldn’t find consistency in losses in the next two sets in the North Yosemite League match-up.
The Stallions committed 14 service errors, including three down the stretch in the fourth set that could have forced a deciding fifth set.
The Stallions also didn’t help themselves with 12 hits out of bounds and 10 attacks that went into the net. Combined with the missed serves, there’s 36 points given to the opposition.
