FOWLER — In one of the last times, the Liberty Hawks football team will face the Fowler Redcats in the near future, Liberty head coach Mike Nolte wanted to make a statement.
After Friday’s win, statement received in a 55-14 victory over the Redcats. The win was the second highest point total and second highest margin of victory in the rivalry that dates back to 2004.
“I think the kids played hard,” head coach Mike Nolte said. “They came ready to play. Fowler is young this year, and leaving our league next year. They don’t want to play us again, so I think it was a good statement win for us.”
