Hansen celebrates 107th birthday

Velma Hansen celebrates her 107th birthday at Cedar Creek, with family and friends. Mayor Santos Garcia presented her with a Mayor’s Certificate and a bouquet of flowers as he congratulated her.

Velma Hansen just turned 107 years young.

Family and friends gathered at Cedar Creek Senior Living last weekend to celebrate her birthday.

Coordinated by Cedar Creek’s Vibrant Life Director, Beth Cummings, the celebration included a visit from Madera Mayor Santos Garcia, who presented Velma with a bouquet of yellow flowers, and a Mayor’s Certificate, which said “Velma Hansen, Happy 107th Birthday,” and proclaimed, “Longevity of life is a blessing for an individual and for a community, which benefits from that knowledge, creativity, and experiences this individual brings to all.”
