Football and water polo playoffs announced

With the fall sports coming to a close, the playoff seedings for football and water polo were announced over the weekend.

Liberty and Matilda Torres received first round home playoff football games while Madera will be on the road Friday night.

After a dramatic 28-27 victory over the Justin Garza Guardians on Friday with a fourth-and-25 touchdown pass in the final minute, the Coyotes received the No. 11 seed in the Div. II playoffs after finishing the regular season with a 7-3 record, the most wins since 2014. They will travel to face Bakersfield Christian, who received the No. 6 seed.
