Members of the Madera City Council gather around the Madera American Little League 12-year-old Section 7 Champions, along with other members of the Madera American, Madera National little league board and District Administrator Barry Jenkin. The team and the leagues were presented a proclamation during Wednesday’s City Council meeting to highlight the upcoming NorCal State Championship tournament that will occur at Lions Town and Country Park beginning Saturday. The Madera American All-Stars will represent Section 7 and District 10 in the tournament.

The Madera City Council showed its support for the Madera Little Leagues that will be hosting the NorCal State Little League Tournament next week, and received updates for the Westberry bridge and Avenue 13 sewer main repair, while providing direction for lighting and facing options, as well as exploring alternative methods to place items on future agendas during the last meeting.

During the regular Wednesday meeting, supportive fans and family filled the Council chambers as the Madera City Council showed its support for the Northern California Little League State Tournament with the presentation of a proclamation before gathering for a photo.

As one of seven teams competing in the playoffs, the Madera American Little League All-Star team, which won the Section 7 and District 10 tournaments, were on hand and took a photo with the City Council. They will have their chance to compete amongst the best teams in the state.
