Ave. 7, SR 99 project begins

Expect road and lane closures for about a month

The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans), along with Terra West Construction, began the paving of the Avenue 7 on and off-ramps from southbound State Route 99 in Madera County.

Crews began re-paving the southbound State Route 99 on and off-ramps at Avenue 7 on Thursday. Both southbound on and off-ramps at Avenue 7 will be closed during the project.

The project is scheduled to last 20 working days and work is scheduled to happen, Monday through Friday, between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m.

Closures may continue for longer periods of time, if necessary, due to delays caused by weather or uncontrollable events that may occur.

Caltrans reminds you to drive with extra care and allow additional time while traveling near construction zones. Please be alert for construction personnel and remember to “Slow for the Cone Zone.”
