AAUW hosting Madtown 5K

The eighth annual 5K run and walk sponsored by American Association Of University Women will be held Saturday beginning at 8 am at Cedar Creek Senior Living, 500 N West Berry in Madera.

The cost is $25 a person or $40 per family (2 adults and their legal children). Late registration is $30 a person or $50 for family and will start at 7:30 am.

The money raised goes toward high school scholarships for three Madera high schools plus Liberty High School. Proceeds will also be used to sponsor middle school students to attend the annual Tech Trek at Fresno State University, a summer camp which aims to inspire girls to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering and math.
