9/11 beam to be on display at Extravaganza

For The Madera Tribune

A part of a beam extricated from the Twin Towers on 9/11 will be on display at this year’s Business Extravaganza, hosted by the Madera Chamber of Commerce and the Madera Association of Realtors.

The Madera Chamber of Commerce and Madera Association of Realtors will host the 2022 Madera Business Extravaganza and Home Show on June 16. The public is invited to this event that will be held at the Madera Fairgrounds from 4-8 p.m.

The Extravaganza is a great way to learn what products and services the community has to offer by visiting exhibitors and vendors that will be participating. After visiting the booths, guests can relax on the patio with food and beverages that will be available while enjoying the evening’s entertainment.

This year will provide a memorable opportunity for attendees to preview the 14-foot beam salvaged from the World Trade Center after the attacks on the Twin Towers on Sept. 11, 2001.

Madera County took part in a highly competitive selection process and was chosen to receive one of less than a dozen beams available. The award was given as a result of the County’s steadfast dedication exhibited in their plans to display, preserve, and honor the beam as part of a firefighter memorial at Courthouse Park. The memorial will be unveiled later this year.

Another highlight of the evening, taking place on the patio will be the door prize drawings at 7:15 p.m. All prizes are valued at $25 or more and provided by the vendors, exhibitors, and organizers. Must be 21 years of age or older for drawing.

Admission is free, courtesy of our event sponsors. Visit www.maderachamber.com to print your tickets or clip from the Madera Tribune.
