Cecilia A. Massetti was sworn in as the Madera County superintendent of schools by the Honorable Judge Mitchell Rigby on Monday at the county education conference center.

This is Massetti’s third term and her 40th year serving the students of Madera County. Nearly 100 attended the oath of office ceremony and reception.

Massetti talked about her commitment to serving children, the importance of family, and her dedication to the employees of Madera County Superintendent of Schools. She said she was looking forward to the continued growth and success of programs in county school systems during the next four years and thanked staff for their work for students.

Plans for growth include the construction of a new Career Technical Education building, which is currently underway and the development of additional preschool classrooms and completion of solar panels. These new structures will allow for program expansion and the ability to serve additional students and their families.
