Stars of “American Pickers” TV series on the History channel will be coming to the San Joaquin Valley this spring and are hoping to connect with local antique collectors.

Mike Wolfe, Frank Fritz, and the team behind History channel TV series “American Pickers” will be filming in the San Joaquin Valley this spring and hope to connect with local antique collectors before then.

The documentary series explores the world of antique “picking” on the basic cable TV channel History. The show follows Wolfe and Fritz as they hunt for the nation’s most valuable antiques and share enthusiasm in finding sizable, unique collections and learning the stories behind them, as well as recycling and rescuing forgotten relics.

“Along the way, the pickers want to meet characters with remarkable and exceptional items,” explained the show’s production company, Cinefix Productions. “The pair hopes to give historically significant objects a new lease on life, while learning a thing or two about America’s past along the way. … American Pickers is looking for leads and would love to explore your hidden treasure.”

Valley residents who have or know someone who has a “large, private collection or accumulation of antiques that the pickers can spend the better part of the day looking through” may send contact information to the show. Name, phone number, location, photos and a description of the collection can be sent to americanpickers at cineflix.com or by leaving a voicemail message at (855) 653-7878.
