Why he voted NO on Measure K

I voted NO on Measure K, and I will tell you why. There is no sunset clause, that is, it will never end.

There is no light at the end of the tunnel. After several years most taxpayers will forget about this tax. Secondly, it started out being for “public safety” but was expanded to everything under the sun. The city can use the money for whatever they want and will come to believe they cannot do without it.

Most people don’t know that the county is now waiting for their 1 cent sales tax hike, twice what the city wants but the county’s proposal is for only law enforcement and fire. Don’t get me wrong, these are not bad proposals and are probably needed (or wanted) but I think I am paying enough taxes; and don’t forget the city just raised our water bills and they aren’t done yet.

If Hillary Clinton is elected POTUS, our federal taxes will rise. She has already said she will raise taxes; she has to pay for all those entitlements she wants to give people for voting for her.

When Gov. Jerry Brown’s term is up there is another guy waiting that wants to run for governor and he without a doubt will raise our state taxes. Remember Gavin Newsom.

Hope I have made everybody’s day a happy one.
