Ahwahnee man found dead

An autopsy is set for Monday as investigation of a potential mountain murder continues. Authorities discovered a 68-year-old Ahwahnee man dead outside his home early Friday.
Deputies were sent to the 41000 block of Road 600 around 1:08 a.m. and, finding the victim, requested detectives and crime scene investigators.
“We are in the early stages of the investigation and will release more details as they become available, including cause of death,” said sheriff’s Cmdr. Tyson Pogue.
The identity of the victim had not been released at press time as relatives were still being notified.
