Madera FAN ready for new class
Madera Tribune archives Danene Bishel-Guglielmana puts down a kill during a victory over Clovis West. Bishell was a nine-time letterwinner, playing volleyball, basketball and track and field. She will be inducted into the Madera Athletic Foundation Hall of Fame on Nov. 5.
The Madera Athletic Foundation Hall of Fame will induct its seventh class on Nov. 5 at the Peters Brothers Banquet Hall, beginning at 5 p.m.
Longtime Madera Coyote diving coach Bill McAlister will be inducted, along with the DaSilva family as contributors, as well as the 1997-1998 Valley Champion Madera Coyote boys soccer team.
Swimming record holder Art Ruble, NCAA All-American Danene Bishel-Guglielmana, atate wrestling champion Eric Philp, All-Big West Conference lineman Anthony Gallegos will be also be inducted.
The late Landon Guglielmana will be the first representative of Madera South inducted into the Hall of Fame, as well.

In an effort to help expand its gym, TEC Gymnastics will host a dinner/comedy show tonight at the Madera Elks Lodge.
The show begins at 6 p.m. and tickets are $25 and can be bought at the door. As of press time, about 20 tickets remain, according to coordinator Amanda Berry.
The comedy show features four comedians, headlined by Danny Minch and Eddie Trevino.
There will also be a silent auction. Dinner will be provided by Cool Hand Luke’s and features garlic chicken breast.

The Yard Dogs 14-under travel baseball team will be hosting a food fundraiser on Oct. 29 from 2-8 p.m.
The Yard Dogs will use the funds to travel to Las Vegas for the All World Sports Baseball tournament.
The food sale will be held at 8844 Vina Street (off of Avenue 9 and Vina Street) and will feature enchilada plates, posole, tamales, tacos, desserts and more.
