Madera Police falls in title game

FRESNO — After winning three straight games on the road in three straight days, the Madera American Little League’s Madera Police had to get one more to win the District 10 Tournament of Champions.

The River Park American Little League champion Giants scored four runs in the first two innings and held off the Madera American Little League and Madera City champions, 4-2, to win the District 10 Tournament of Champions on Saturday at the River Park Little League facility.

“We only lost three games all year,” said Madera Police manager Mike Molina. “We lost one by two runs, one by a run and another by two runs. They did good and I’m proud of them.”
