Millview Elementary hosts arts festival
Millview Elementary’s second annual Art Festival showcased examples of student art Thursday evening as well as a variety of creations by Millview staff and families. Exemplary submissions received award ribbons from the festival judge, Sherrill Royce of the Madera County Arts Council.
Children and parents participated in activities within the Millview cafeteria at several art stations, such as video-directed sketching, watercolor and pastel drawings, flowers made from water bottles, rock painting, and pencil friends.
Millview teachers and parents volunteered to supervise activities and assist artists.
“The event was well attended and a good time was had by all,” said Millview Vice Principal Rae Ann Priester.
