Coyote celebrate Sr. Night with win

Madera’s Garrin Hatfield sends a pass away with a Hoover defender coming to him during Friday’s victory. Hatfield scored three times in the victory.

 

The Madera Coyotes boys water polo team jumped out to the early lead against the Hoover-Fresno Patriots and maintined it for a 15-12 victory at the McAlister Aquatics Complex.


Madera got five goals from Enrique Solis, four from William Magdic and three from Will Prim and Garrin Hatfield for the victory. Seth Rollins added a second period goal.


Madera jumped out to the early 3-1 lead behind two goals from Prim.


In the second period. Magdic scored three times and Solis scored twice to increase the lead to 8-4.


Although Madera was outscored 4-3 in the third peirod, goals from Prim, Magdic and Solis helped mainain a three-goal lead.


In the fourth quarter, Hatfield led the Coyotes with a pair of goals to keep the lead. Hatfield scored a goal 46 seconds into the period and closed out Madera’s scoring with a goal with 2:02 left for the 15-12 victory on Senior Night.


Madera played at Edison-Fresno on Tuesday and host Madera South on Thursday.
