Madera Fair gearing up for 4-day menu of entertainment

The Madera Tribune Madera Fair is preparing for another entertainment weekend, beginning Sept. 6 and ending Sept. 9.

The free festival concerts, introduced in 2017, are back with a lively entertainment line-up for 2018.

Fair guests with paid gate admission can enjoy Madera Fair’s Table Mountain Concert Series presented by Tecate Light nightly.

Thursday, Sept. 6, the concert series kicks-off at 7:30 p.m. with WAR and their funk rock, Latin, reggae, jazz and R&B blend, making the perfect mix of historic popular music.

The concert series continues Friday, Sept. 7, at 8 p.m. with the hard-rocking, legendary Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee, Joan Jett and the Blackhearts.

Saturday, Sept. 8, at 8 p.m., multi-platinum MCA Nashville recording artist Josh Turner hits the stage with his rich, deep voice and distinctive style.

Sunday, Sept. 9, closes out the series with not one but two bands. Madera Fair is thrilled to bring to the stage Roberto Tapia and his regional banda sound followed by rancheras and cumbias by Banda Machos.

The all free concert venue has multiple seating and standing options with a first come, first serve arrangement. Fair guests can truly be standing front and center for their favorite artists with their paid gate admission. Many guests opt for bleacher seating, while others take advantage of the $5 rentable camp-style chairs, which sold out quick in 2017.

“It’s our pleasure to bring to our community and the Central Valley the best value, entertainment and experience at the Madera Fair,” said Barbara Leach, events coordinator.

Discounted admission tickets and carnival coupons are available online and at the Madera Fair office through Sept. 5. For more information, call the Madera District Fair office at 674-8511, or visit www.maderafair.com.
