St. Joachim group to hold event Sunday

The Guadalupana Society of St. Joachim Church will stage its annual festivities in honor of the Virgin of Guadalupe (mother of Jesus) on Sunday beginning at 3 a.m. at the Millview School parking lot. Worshipers will process on foot to St. Joachim Church, where arrival time is expected to be 5 a.m.

A serenade to the Virgin de Guadalupe will be sung at 5:15 a.m., followed by a Mass at 6 a.m. and other traditional festivities including a free traditional breakfast after Mass at Holy Spouses Hall.
