Madera High School grad named new principal

Robyn Cosgrove, a lifelong Maderan and a Madera High School alumna, has been named the first permanent female principal of Madera High School.

She graduated 3rd in her class from Madera High School in 1993. She went on to attend Fresno State University, where she graduated with honors.

She shortly thereafter went into teaching at Madera High School and then Madera South High School. She has taught mathematics, coached softball and volleyball. She was department chair for five years, and was named Teacher of the Year in 2008. She later became the curriculum and instruction vice principal for Madera South and served in that role for over two years.

According to Babatunde Ilori of Madera Unified School District, Cosgrove is an expert with master schedule development, and is known for her organization, effective communication, expertise in quality instruction, and building high-quality relationships with staff.
